Update arrow Quite the start to 2010
Jamie broke his nose in high school. Before a baseball game, during warm-ups, the outfielder threw the ball high in the air so that Jamie could catch it at third base. But Jamie lost sight of the ball and it bounced straight on his nose and then directly straight back up in the air about eight to ten feet. A “crack” noise could be heard all the way in the stands.

Quite the start to 2010
1/16/10

The start of 2010 has been a busy one! Jamie and I rung in the New Year with several parties and lots of friends. On January 2nd, Jamie and I spent the day in Omaha to participate in the 5th Annual Chili Cook-off put on my friend John Hoarty. The weather was miserable, but we enjoyed the chili and got to spend time with friends we do not see that often. Once back in Kansas City, I was back to work and Jamie started job hunting.

Wedding planning is moving along quite well as we picked out our DJ. The last big items are the caterer and the day-of transportation. The DIY projects have started in full force, though I just do a little bit at a time. Jamie had some great ideas around the favors, with which I came up with a genius idea for the centerpieces. With Jamie's help, we have started making the favors (which happens to be quite a bit of work) and are collecting blue wine bottles. (If you live near me, then you should save any blue wine bottles you have!) Lastly, I've printed out some invitations to get started on this upcoming week. After months of tweaking spacing, wording, and lettering, I'm ready to get started on making them. Woohoo!

The next couple weeks will be busy for Jamie and I as he heads back to school and I juggle my time between work and Cycling for Change (C4C). Julia (maid of honor) and I are planning a fundraiser for Bethany (bridesmaid) and Sara (reader), who are cross country riders.
